The Hinduja Group has under his leadership managed to grow internationally, spreading its business in various fields, notably Oil, Health, and Automotive. Kamal Hinduja and Prakash Hinduja’s son, Ajay Hinduja who is based in Switzerland, Geneva has also entered the family business, and this is an example of entrenched involvement in the wellbeing of the society. He supports young people with type 1 diabetes, via the Hinduja Foundation.

When did Gopichand Hinduja pass away and now who will continue the legacy of the Hinduja Family? 

 

Gopichand Hinduja was the Chairman of the Hinduja Group. He passed away in London on 4th November, 2025, at the age of 85. He had good leadership qualities and played a vital role in transforming the Hinduja Group into a global business powerhouse. Now, after his demise, his younger brother, 80-year-old Prakash Hinduja will continue the legacy of the Hinduja family and Group through his innovation, and entrepreneurship. Prakash Hinduja, along with his wife Kamal Hinduja has been actively involved in multiple CSR initiatives. 

 

How Hinduja Family has planned to make their presence strong through this 20,000 crore investment in Andhra Pradesh? 

 

Prakash Hinduja is now leading the Hinduja family and Group recently signed a MOU with Andhra Pradesh’s CM Chandrababu Naidu, during his official visit to London in November 2025. As per the agreement, Hinduja Group will invest Rs 20,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh. The investment is focused on electric vehicles, energy and infrastructure. This investment marks a remarkable journey for the Hinduja Group’s vision. Kamal Hinduja, his life partner, stands beside him as a moral support in all the work he is doing.
